Helping to Building a Better Benicia
Over these three years, BCF granted over $259,000 to local nonprofits and special projects that directly benefited our community.
BCF has earned a Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar. A National Gold GuideStar Rating recognizes nonprofits that uphold exceptional transparency and accountability. It signifies that the organization has shared comprehensive financial data, goals, strategies, and performance metrics—demonstrating a strong commitment to measurable impact and earning the trust of donors and stakeholders.
Mission: The Benicia Community Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Investing in the Promise of Benicia by connecting people and resources to benefit all who live, work, and play in Benicia.
We Love Benicia. At BCF, our board and volunteers work with heart, honor, and purpose to help build a better Benicia through philanthropy, grants, volunteerism, partnering, and hands-on care. We strive to fill critical gaps, support meaningful causes, and create opportunities that strengthen our community and local businesses. Our goal is to make a lasting impact and help Benicia not just grow but truly thrive.
One of our not-so-easy ongoing goals is to support the community without competing for the same funding our nonprofits rely on. Benicia doesn’t need another nonprofit drawing from the same vital resources as our valued nonprofits need.
